Here’s how my machine is supposed to work, made of many humans and computers. The Human brain can think in many=dimensional shapes. As balls roll on a 3d cross-section of these shapes, the physics sim of the balls moves the cross-section, so the shapes appear to change shape. Shapes affect game strategy. Humans will therefore have a larger amount of their brain used for this game, so will like to play it more than games that use a smaller amount of their brain, given the same speed of mouse/gamepad movements between all games being compared. Human brain is a machine. It has that behavior. So it spreads, more and more people and AIs make the shapes and roll balls on them. The swarms come, it happens on massively multiplayer scale. It creates more demand for AI, which however slightly brings us closer to The Singularity.
