


Today marks one of the biggest milestones in Pocket Worlds’s 10-year history. We are slowly rolling out the next generation of our platform — Highrise 4.0. 🎉
Highrise 4.0 is a complete re-imagining of Highrise. Our team spent the last year rebuilding our platform from scratch atop Unity. The team has stretched Unity to the absolute limit in order to unlock:
Creator Worlds: 3D worlds imagined and designed by our community of Creators. The World Builder tool we are launching in October will allow anyone to design and script rich multiplayer games and experiences in Highrise.
HRUIKit: We believe that games are the most social experiences people can have online. That’s why we built our own version of native UIKit on top of Unity that we call HRUIKit — so Highrise feels like the merger of gaming platform and social network. The result is buttery smooth UI that feels like it’s native, but is built entirely in Unity and compiles to all platforms.
Creator Exchange: Our community of Creators can now earn a real income from the Creations they release in Highrise. This is a game-changer for many of our most creative community members, and I couldn’t be more excited to enable people to earn a living from creating in Highrise.
Asset Marketplace: We’re slowly rolling out the Highrise Asset Marketplace, where anyone can upload 3D assets to share with or sell to our community. The marketplace supports Unity and Unreal open standards, and thus anyone who creates assets for Unity or Unreal can bring their assets to Highrise in minutes.
We have many more exciting features coming very soon that will our Creators to re-invent how people play and connect with each other online.
