Onchain Web3 Games are broken and not fun.

So what are the incentives they provide?

Play to Earn. Token Sales.

It is okay when those are provided as “additional” benefits, but unfortunately, those become the main reason why most people come to play those games.

Sure

But from the very first place, games are supposed to be FUN.

And here’s an experimental project that I am hoping to run long term

A fully Onchain First Person Shooter Game on @Solana enabled by @magicblock for real-time multiplayer gameplayers. Made with Rust and Raylib.

No centralized servers. All the game logic happens Onchain inside Ephemeral Rollups. No transaction fees. No constant prompting of “do you confirm this transaction” pop up.

Connect your Wallet and with your Gmail, hit play, buy guns with your Card or Crypto. And guess what, PLAY.

No gamers will care about these technical details. They don’t need to care.

However,

As the world overlooks Blockchain Gaming as scams and undesirable, I want to say:

it doesn’t have to be this way, because it is possible to be the other way because it is 100% possible to create a fun indie games with Solana as infra

Obviously, we cannot make the game too flashy yet. Good things take time. We aren’t artists, we are coders, so we can take on the technical challenges, but we can’t code away artistic challenges without relying on AI or learning ourselves or asking helps from 3D artists, which we don’t have access to yet.

Anyways,

This is https://t.co/pMVgbHnyHl

and this is our entry for @colosseum Cypherpunk Hackathon to prove the technical feasibility to open up possibilities.
