#251: Goldeneye 007 (N64)
Probably one of the most important console shooters of all time, Goldeneye is one of the first times I ever got to experience FPS multiplayer with other friends. And what makes that funny, is how they just tacked the Multiplayer on at the end.
The story is also really well put together, with challenges for each level, that differs based on difficulty. Each level also had a secret cheat unlock that required you to beat the level within a certain time on a specific difficulty.
Now, this isn’t the best shooter ever made. Hell, it’s not even the best shooter on the N64, but it was a fantastic start to shooters on a console in the 3D generation of 64 + bit gaming.
